 In the next couple months I will be overhauling the site and adding new content. I've decided to make this site for me and to stop worrying about trying to blog about things that will interest people in coming here. Instead I will using this site to help me come up with a set of I.T. standards and policies to use while managing networks and systems.
In past businesses I have worked for, they have no organization in the I.T. department and most of the documentation lies in the old admins head, which in most cases has already left. It is starting to get annoying that at every single business I work for, I have to completely start from scratch with no materials what-so-ever as far to assist me in learning the infrastructure. In most cases, there is no documentation, no procedures, no standards, no process, and sometimes very little communication.
So in the next couple months I will be doing some research on standards and procedures used in the I.T. environment and try to come up with a way to accomplish and fix this rediculous trend.
